VIA FERRATA CLIMBING
Climbing on a secured and safe climbing route
We usually like to introduce ourselves as the ones who share the sky with birds and mountains with bouncy chamois – the fearless mountain goats. Mountains have always attracted people, who wished to conquer them, to reach their tops. Steep mountain walls attracted them even more, but for a long time they were only accessible to experienced mountaineers. The situation is much different nowadays.
Classic via-ferrata routes
Across numerous walls run older classic via-ferrata routes, which lead to the top of the mountains and are as such a reflection of history and proof of mountaineering conquests. For these type of classics, one has to make a full day mountaineering tour, with a longer access and descend.
Modern via-ferrata routes
Many modern via-ferrata routes were made at the edge of the Julian Alps in previous years. They were more easily accessible, better equipped, at certain areas more steep and ran across smooth walls. Such via-ferrata routes are appropriate for a wider range of vertical movement enthusiasts and for those with a desire for a certain dose of good quality adrenaline.
